With his extraordinary interpretation of THE GUEST , Kzeng Jiang is the first Chinese artist to be part of Lladró's renowned "The Guest" collection , a series developed by Spanish designer Jaime Hayon that invites international creatives to reimagine the iconic GUEST in their own way.

Kzeng Jiang , who lives and works in Shanghai, combines traditional East Asian art forms with a modern, almost graphic visual language in his work. In this exclusive sculpture, limited to only 300 pieces worldwide , he draws inspiration from the symbolism and aesthetics of Chinese culture:
Three stylized eyes on the guest's face represent the past, present, and future . They reflect the ability to see beyond time and space: a poetic metaphor for personal and collective memory.

The combination of deep blue with golden luster elements refers to the brilliance of ancient Chinese porcelain and gives the sculpture a noble, museum-like effect. Inspired by Peking Opera face painting and Song Dynasty floral patterns , a unique art object is created that is a blend of the zeitgeist and tradition.
